Sometimes...

there is simply a time when you realize change has set in.
needed change.
because YOU had unintentionally changed.
that you wake up and know that the world tilted back the way it once was.
that the couple years you felt lost, overwhelmed, and kinda like rolled up socks that fell short of the laundry basket...
are dissolving away faster than the ice cream my husband complains I leave out on counter.
i'm feelin' it.
centered again.
back on the Mandy path.
the who i am breaking through the who i became that was a bad version of me.
grumpy mom,
impatient,
forgetting to be joyful.

scratch that.
i think i've always been and always will be impatient.
but that's okay.
cuz it's me.
right down to the opening the mail before i get in the front door,
or eating a slice of pizza in the car out of the box because you just aren't waiting til you get home.

i'm finally starting to enjoy me again.

and it's feeling great.

God Bless,
Mandy

Discipline...

2011.
Here we go.
Of course I make the traditional "resolutions".
Loose weight.
Keep the house cleaned up more.
Spend more one on one time with the kids.

My WORD for this year?

Discipline.

Admittedly not a pretty word.
But one I need.

Somewhere over the course of the last 2 years I've lost all discipline.
Of course it has nothing to do with the fact that I'm dealing with  4 kids all day and getting old.
Cough cough.

Anyhoo,
one area in which I really feel the Lord calling me to is in being more disciplined with our finances.
It's a struggle,
but one we're buckling down on.

So to share my financial peace journey,
and maybe help someone else,
I'm going to have Money Mondays.
Every Monday I'll share my plans, executions,
successes and failures.

Hopefully we'll both learn something along the way...

God Bless,
Mandy

Happy New Year!!!

I promise to get better at blogging, but I'm still fighting this bug!

Thought I'd share my anthem for 2011.
Yes it came out in 2010,
but roll with it.

Go listen,
you'll love it!!

God Bless,
Mandy
