In my life this week…
my back seems on the mend!
yay!
i've started working out again.
I am inspired by…
charlotte mason
Places we’re going and people we’re seeing…
we joined the YMCA for homeschool PE.
today was day one and i feel good about this now
(i stressed about the $ a lot)
My favorite thing this week was…
bedtime.
hehe.
Questions/thoughts I have...
i am really trying to figure out if i need to add more in to our day.
it's such a different bowl of soup than public school,
i need to get comfortable with that,
because i don't want it to be like public school!
Things I’m working on…
just trying to figure out the organizing/laying out/ etc. parts of this...
I’m reading…
lord of the rings
I’m cooking…
i've cooked some yumminess up this week.
but i'm too lazy to write the recipes right now.
I’m grateful for…
some new friendships i feel the Lord is putting in place, for the both the kids and i.
I’m praying for…
ya all know that if i do this each week wisdom is still going to be my answer right?
i give you permission to assume that unless otherwise stated
(and solomon has been outwitted)
A photo, video, link, or quote to share…
blessings,
mandy

I too have to get out of the public school mind frame. You are not alone there! I keep wondering are we really doing enough? Then I ask him a question later and he wows me. :) Love your pic of the week! Have a great weekend and week ahead!
I also need to lose the "public school mindframe." It's hard because I'm a teacher, my husband's a teacher, and our daughter spent 2 years in public school. I always feel like someone is going to check in on me to make sure I'm doing my job! I hope I get over this soon! I'm also inspired by Charlotte Mason. I hope that I can relax more and follow her guide for education. I've enjoyed reading your blog!
I too love Charlotte Mason and try to include her ideas in our homeschool. I made a ton of mistakes when I first started about two years ago, and unfortunately reinvented the public school in my home! Eeek. Lesson learned. You're the second mom that I've read uses the YMCA for P.E. I've gotta check into this. Loved reading about your week! I'll be back!
Oh My Goodness. You'll have to look at my journal this week. I have the exact same saying. I think we are all in Mommy Mode and protecting our little ones, huh?
Visiting from THSMJ. Love your post.
I have that quote on my side bar of my blog. I love it. Look's like you've had a good week.
Pam
This is our first year homeschooling my 5th grader so I completely sympathize with the feeling. I constantly am wondering if we are doing enough! Love your graphic! :-)
Stopping by from THMJ.
I think every homeschool mom worries about doing enough. The one on one interaction, and fact that we can really focus on our children's interests a huge benefit.
Oh and we also attend a homeschool gym program at our YMCA. Been going for 4 years now and has been a wonderful way to interact with other homeschooling families.
My kids love going every week to learn fun games and exercise.
Love your blog. Just stopped by from THMJ.
love your quote, saw that a while back and adopted it for our HS ;-)
ah, wisdom, wherefore art thou? did you recently start HS your kids? i totally understand the sensation that your day could 'use more stuff' but i feel that often and add so much that we all feel the pain of mommy's overdoing it ;-)
LOVE the quote!!!!!!
May God grant you (and all of us) the wisdom to teach and raise our children in the way He has for our individual families. Smart thing for which to pray - for sure!!!
